BRYAN, Texas — The Salvation Army of Bryan-College Station is in need of hygiene products for the community.

They currently have zero hygiene products to give to people.

They are asking for your help to reduce the shortage by donating items to put hygiene bags together for those in need.

“The need for hygiene is all the time,” Tanisha Pickney said.

Pickney is the Director of Social Services for the Salvation Army of Bryan-College Station.

"We get clients that call. Unfortunately, they can’t afford it. It’s having to choose between getting things. The need for hygiene is definitely a need all the time," Pickney said.

Some of the items needed include:

  • Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Lotion
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Brush/Comb
  • Laundry detergent
  • Soap
  • Wipes
  • Adult diapers (all sizes)
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Face towels/ body towels
  • Small blankets

“When we do get it, we run out pretty quick so we’re at the point where we’re trying to do a drive where we can collect a lot and so we can stack up on things, so we always have it when clients need it,” Pickney said.
The Salvation Army encourages you to bring in donations as soon as possible. All items must be new and unused/unopened to accept for donation.

Their office is located at 2506 Cavitt Avenue in Bryan, Texas. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
